Misprint Magazine is gathering a huge following in Austin these days. This online magazine is filled with mustaches, barbeque, and rock and roll. No wonder it’s a hit in one of America’s best college town music scenes.
This magazine has a beautiful interface, and every single page is worth looking at. I would recommend reading through a few of these to get a good idea of the magazine’s full spectrum of humor and current relevance. It seems to me that there are probably a few different writers rotating around, and each has a very distinguishable personality. Either that or it’s one guy with a split-personality disorder.
Their slogan is “Predictably ironic since 2005.” That calls for a very predictable, “”How ironic,” a mustache, and another sip of PBR. Any company that uses an octopus as a scarf in their logo is a winner in my book.
These guys make beautiful posters as well. The first one I saw was a ram with shorts on its horns. That’s brilliant! They used several different fonts and their use of color is very effective in highlighting certain information, like the undeniable greatness of jorts.
Everywhere I turn on this website, male facial hairs seems to jump out at me. Is this because I am a male with facial hair? Is this because it is currently No Shave November? Is this because Misprint Magazine is infatuated with mustaches and beards? You decide. Really. Go to their website, and check them out. You will lose hours reading through beautiful magazines.
